I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of MN-Twin Cities, I continued my educational journey, earning a Master Degree in social work from Augsburg College.

I have worked for over 20 years as a school social worker which has allowed me to work with a diverse population of children and families with a wide range of experiences and difficulties. I am excited about moving into the therapy role with children and families because I can continue to support children and families while having the opportunity to work on a deeper level with clients.

I bring a strengths perspective and meet my clients where they are at. I believe that it is through connection and relationships that we are able to heal and move forward in a way that feels right for us. I find that incorporating humor and playfulness into my work helps to provide a fun and safe space where clients feel comfortable talking about the uncomfortable. I tend to use an eclectic approach utilizing psychoeducation, bibliotherapy, as well as some CBT skills and I welcome the opportunity to collaborate with my clients in order to find what approach works best for them.
